AJJB Law letter before claim

Received a letter before claim from AJJB Law regarding an energy bill that was from Together Energy Ltd when I moved into my house. They are claiming £78.30 is owed.

I did take photos of the energy meters and send them over to my new supplier when I moved in, but I never received a letter from Together Energy stating that I owed any leftover costs.

Sorry if there is a form on here for this already, just need a bit of help if possible.

How far back can an energy company bill you?
12 months
Under 'back billing' rules, your supplier cannot send you a bill for energy you used more than 12 months ago.

How long do energy companies have to send final bill?
six weeks
Supplier sends a final bill within six weeks of a switch. Supplier refunds money owed on a credit balance within 10 working days of sending a final bill.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.

I moved out of my house in July of 2020. I was a first time buyer for the new house if that helps.

The Together Energy never sent me a letter for the new house, I only received texts from CRS first and now they have passed the debt onto AJJB.

Here to help with gas & electricity complaints - Ombudsma contact them and complain!?

Just tried and the company in question has ceased trading lol.

Ombudsman Services: Here to Help You Resolve You then another company has taken over and seeking to get response.

send ubject Access Request Letter get proof posting (free) keep copies of all on file. send to AJJB Law then more real info who owned the alledged debt they have 30 days to respond to DSAR.

do not admit to anything at this stage.
